HDPE Pipes - Welding Methods

One of the greatest advantages of HDPE and MDPE pipes is the excellent weldability. The following are the techniques used for welding of HDPE and MDPE pipes.

Heating element butt fusion welding

Two pipe ends are brought in contact with a heating element. Thereafter, the heating element is removed and the two molten pipe are pressed together to provide a leakproof joint.

Electro fusion Welding

Two pipe ends are fitted into the electrosocket. Heating coil integrated into the electrosocket heats the material surrounding the coils which melts, and becomes integral with the pipes inserted into the ends of the socket. On cooling a leakproof joint is formed.
Flange joint

Suitable for the integartion of accouterments into the piping system or for the transition to the other pipe materials.
